Marinated Chicken Skewers Wrapped in Bacon - (Pácolt csirkenyársak szalonnába tekerve)
Ingredients: serves 4
4 boned half breasts of chicken, 12 thin slices of lean smoked bacon
Marinade:
2 tablespoon cooking oil, 3 tablespoon lightly salted soy sauce, 3 tablespoon lemon juice, 2 tablespoon honey, 1 very small onion, grated (1 heaping teaspoon onion cream), 2-3 cloves crushed garlic (1 teaspoon garlic cream), 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper

Cut the boned half chicken breasts in half horizontally and unfold them, as if opening a book,
so they will not be so thick. Next, cut each lengthwise into three pieces. Mix the marinade ingredients together in a bowl large enough to hold the meat. Coat the 12 strips of meat in the marinade, cover, and refrigerate for at least an hour so the flavors blend but it is even better if it marinates overnight. Poke each strip of chicken, through either a wooden or metal skewer and wrap the bacon slices around them. Grill them on a rack over not too hot charcoal or cook them in a large oiled skillet for about 4-5 minutes on each side. A fresh salad serves well as an accompaniment.

Words of Wisdom
If you soak the wooden skewers in water the night before grilling, they are sure not to burn while cooking.
