Ingredients serves 4:
1 medium loaf French bread or dark bread with seeds (about 12 oz/35 dkg)
Italian-style cheese spread:
8 oz/20 dkg cream cheese, 2 tablespoon each sun-dried tomatoes and pitted black olives, cut fine, 2 teaspoon each fresh basil and thyme, cut fine (if using dried herbs, half is enough), 1/2 teaspoon garlic cream, salt and ground black pepper to taste
Cut the bread into slices about the size of your small finger and brown them in a toaster or on a charcoal grill until golden brown. While the bread is toasting, prepare the cheese spread by mixing all the ingredients into the cream cheese, salting lightly. Spread the cream cheese mixture on the warm toast and serve, or offer the toast and cream cheese separately for people to prepare their bread as they like.
